Beautiful spaces, sustainably repurposed

Spaces that enhance your lifestyle

At room2change, we believe great décor doesn’t have to cost the earth. Our approach to interior decorating is rooted in sustainability — giving new life to what you already own, sourcing thoughtfully, and creating spaces that feel fresh, inviting, and uniquely yours. We are change makers, transforming homes with ideas that inspire lasting impact, affordably.

How we repurpose your space

We start with what you have. By reimagining layouts, rearranging furniture, and highlighting overlooked pieces, we reduce waste and cut down on unnecessary spending. We suggest 'colour pops' for impact and if you are finding it hard to envisage, at a small fee, we'll develop a mood board. When new items are needed, we prioritise local makers, second-life finds, and eco-friendly materials.

Mood board

A mood board brings your ideas together — blending furnishing options and colour palettes to turn your vision into reality.

Why it matters

Sustainable decorating isn’t just about the environment. It’s about value, too. Repurposed spaces not only save money but also carry more character and authenticity.

For homeowners preparing to sell, it means styling that stands out to buyers. For those staying put, it means a home that feels renewed without the footprint of fast décor – and the accompanying substantial fee.

What our Clients have to say

chris sq

Chris Van, Kensington, Johannesburg

I thought I had an eye for décor and clever use of space until Kim visited my home and blew my mind with her phenomenal eye and practical common sense. My cottage, kitchen, dining room, courtyard and garden were transformed, some instantly, just by her repositioning existing items – even though I’d lived here nearly four years. She slotted straight into my eclectic tastes. Kim is budget-sensitive without compromising the result – a powerful combo in today’s difficult times.

I have known Kim for a number of years and have enlisted her help for various projects, on a personal level where I asked her to look at my home. I just love her enthusiasm, and her total confidence in her choices, trusting her to do what is pleasing in my space, with close consultation and understanding of my needs. Each time she assessed the space, the ‘flow’ (as she put it!) considering the aesthetics. I have both come to admire her artistic eye and the ability to assist me to live in a more colourful world. I highly recommend Kim’s ability to transform my space.

I had the pleasure of working with Kim on the interior decoration of my flat at Water’s Edge, and I am truly delighted with the outcome. She has an exceptional sense of style and a remarkable ability to transform spaces into something both beautiful and practical. From the start, she took the time to understand my preferences and lifestyle needs, and she translated them into a design that exceeded my expectations.

Her decor choices brought harmony and elegance to the entire flat, with every detail carefully considered to create a welcoming and comfortable environment. What I appreciated most was her professionalism, creativity, and commitment to delivering a result that reflects both quality and personality.

I wholeheartedly recommend Kim to anyone seeking an interior decorator who combines vision, dedication, and a true passion for design. She has the talent to turn any space into a place you will be proud to call home.
